VLC for Kindle Fire Not Play MKV Video- Fixed

VLC is great (5 star). VLC for Fire has issues. It looks like this app is a fork from the open source VLC and is supposed to be dedicated to the Fire TV. When I play MKV using VLC for Kindle Fire, it failed to read the file. Any way to solve VLC for Kindle Fire not play MKV issue?

I’ve recently upgrade to Windows 10, but when I test to run MKV video file on Windows 10, it cant run smoothly (dropping much fps ). I try to install every video player(See a list of best MKV player for Windows 10) that I know, but it won’t run smoothly. Any body has answer for my problem?

I have scoured the internet, tried everything I could find about running MKV files on Windows 10. The final result I found from all relevant forums is that MKV is not a right format for Windows 10 including Movie & TV software. Issues on Playing MKV on LG BD550 Blu-ray Player- Solved

My Blu ray player is a LG BD550. I’m using a WD1TB USB External Hard Drive that connects to the USB port to play .avi and .mkv files. Certain files play fine on both avi and mkv. 

However certain 1080p mkv files dont play while others do. On the ones that wont play I get a message saying “this movie may not play properly”, however it plays fine on my laptop.

Upload and Play MKV File in Google Drive

Q: Is there an external app that will play MKV files? I uploaded an MKV file and now it only lets me download it back. I want to stream it from my Google Drive.

Ideally, you would view some MKV files within Google Drive, but seeing how MKV isn’t supported. Some guys recommend to try Localcast with the Cloud plugin, but it doesn’t work all the time. Any Way to Play HEVC MKV File on Blu-ray Player

I tried to play a .mkv file in my Bu-ray player and it worked well, I was able to activete subtitles and different audio tracks while playing. Then I tried with another MKV video (in the same container) and it didn’t work, the player just said “video format not supported.

I tried to learn something about audio and video formats and even containers and check the two MKV videos. The one that did work in Blu-ray player is H.264 encoded and the one which didn’t work is HEVC encoded. Searching further about HEVC MKV to Blu-ray Player in Google, I have some ideas.
